Walking Stick Ministry

This ministry was started by Jimmy and Margaret Langston through The Christian Farmers of North America.  Each stick has 5 beads (gold, black, red, white and green) that help guide one to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ with the help of Biblical scripture.

Gold - Heaven John 3:16, John 10:10b

God loves you and wants you to experience his peace and life.

Black - Sin & Separation Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life.  He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and freedom of choice.

Red - Christ's Blood Romans5:8, 1 Peter 3:18a, Acts 20:21

Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem.  He died on the cross and rose from the grave paying the penalty for our sin through His innocent blood and bridged the gap from God to Man.

White - Forgiveness and Purity John 1:12, Romans 10:9

Just to agree that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough.  Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience.  We receive Jesus Christ by faith as decision of our will.

Is there any good reason why you cannot receive, JESUS CHRIST right now?

What to Pray

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and need your salvation.  I believe that you died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I turn away from sin.  I receive you into my life.  I trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

Green - growing in Christ II Peter 3:18, II Timothy 2:15

When you believe in the Lord Jesus as your Savior from sin, you are like a new born baby in God's family.  God wants you to grow in a special way.

1 John 5:11-12, John 5:24

This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.  To deepen this relationship you should:

1.  Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better.

2.  Talk to God in prayer every day.

3.  Tell others about Christ.

4.  Worship, fellowship and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.

5.  As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
